How an economy remap saves fuel
Fuel economy is mostly about how hard the engine has to work at the speeds you actually drive. An economy remap moves torque lower in the rev range and optimises fuelling in the cruise zones — motorway speed, A-road speed, loaded-van speed — so the engine holds pace with less throttle and fewer downshifts.
It suits the drivers who buy fuel by the tankful: commuters, couriers, taxi drivers, van operators and anyone running a car past 20,000 miles a year. The heavier your right foot has to be today, the more there is to gain.
It still drives better, too. An economy map is not a slower car — it's a more muscular one at real-world speeds, with the top-end aggression traded for mid-range pull and efficiency.

How much fuel can I save?
It depends on the engine and how you drive, which is why we won't promise a number the car can't sign off. Typical high-mileage turbodiesel drivers see a worthwhile MPG improvement, and the effect is largest for loaded vans and motorway commuters.
Does an economy remap make the car slower?
No — it reshapes where the power lives. You gain mid-range torque, which is what you use in daily driving; outright top-end is simply not the priority of this file.
Is it suitable for vans and fleets?
Very much so — vans and working vehicles are where economy remaps earn their keep fastest. We can schedule multiple vehicles around your working week.
Can I switch back later?
Yes. Your original calibration is stored before we flash anything, and the vehicle can be returned to standard at the workshop.
